Rose Cake

A friend of mine asked for a basic Red Velvet cake this weekend, so I took it as an opportunity to try a new technique I found...

The technique was so easy!

Instead of doing the 'swirl' from the outside in, you go from the inside out.

Next time, I'll try with buttercream instead of cream cheese frosting because the consistency is much stronger to hold up the rose design.
